Tell me not in mournful numbers,
别用哀伤的诗对我讲：
Life is but an empty dream!
人生不过是梦一场！
For the soul is dead that slumbers
灵魂沉睡如死，
And things are not what they seem.
事物表里不一。
Life is real! Life is earnest!
生当真切！生当热烈！
And the grave is not its goal;
生之目标决非荒墓；
Dust thou art , to dust returnest,

Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment , and not sorrow,Is our destined and our way;

《人生颂》是19世纪美国诗人朗费罗最著名的抒情诗。它以一位年轻人的口吻表达了诗人对人生的见解，表达了人生当珍惜当下，生命的意义在于行动和不懈的自我超越。
