It is awesome that today is Good Friday and the clinic is not open. As a result, I can have 3 days off in a row, including the coming weekend. Tammy and I decide to go to visit Easter Show at Olympic Park this Sunday, which offers a fantastic combination of performances, cuisine and entertainment programs. Initially, I did not expect to have any outdoor activities because there is another language test waiting for me on May 6th. But to be honest, compared to forcing myself to study at home, it will be more efficient and rewarding to study industriously on the first two days and then play happily. Just as Will, my nice and helpful writing tutor, suggested me, I will enjoy and live under the moment. So, study hard and play even harder.
Yesterday, I attended the clinic’s team building dinner at Ribs & Burgers restaurant. Michael arranged the activity and I was told to translate the menu and call to make a reservation. Many thanks to Tammy’s review as well as encouragement! Yes, I will keep the attitude and take what I do seriously. Although I was teased again by Dr Liu (he put a highchair in front of me and said this was the table I had booked) because the restaurant had not arranged the table for us as promised, I arrived there half an hour earlier and coordinated with the working staff to ensure everything in order timely. Anyway, thank you for your guidance and generosity, Dr Liu!
Here to record some common sense I have learnt from Ling and Jenny: The bathroom sink is to wash face and hands, the laundry sink is to wash clothes and shoes and the kitchen sink is to wash food and dishes. Do not mix their functions up. Another principle I have learnt here is never put food on the ground, which can be understood as disrespect towards food. I know I have no idea of too many things in daily lives, so I am grateful to any useful suggestions given in a nice way. By the way, thanks for Jenny’s Easter bunny, which is so cute and can light up my day whenever I see it!
Such an adorable Easter Bunny!
