Book Two Unit Thirty-Six

Althoug Debbie Hart is only eleven years old, she is going to set up a new world record for swimming across the English Channel. She is such a strong swimmer that many
people feel that she is sure to succeed. Mr. Hart who has trained his daughter Debbie
for years will set out with her in a small boat and watch her swimming. Debbie intends
to take short rest every two hours and have something to drink. Most of Debbie's
school friends, including her mother who as a girl had swam across the English
Channel, will be waiting for her on the English coast.
