EP from malaysia Mao Yu
Amazing memory impresses me a lot after one and half months exchange experience in Malaysia . I can still remember the first day I arrived at Kedah state.
No wind , sunny afternoon. I dragged my bloody heavy luggage to the entrance hall of the airport.The airport in the north of Malaysia is all about one thing in my brain-small, although the place where the airport located is the capital of the state. I had a glance of my watch . oh come on , 1 hour earlier . It means my EP buddy will pick me up an hour later. After 6hours flight , not only my mental state but my physical condition is really well. I move like a zombie pulling my baggage . Suddenly, a message was delivered to my cellphone, so I open my messenger and read the content. It says another EP arrive here ahead of me. Aha, a lightbulb moment came to my mind "find him". So, as u can see, I find him sitting on the bench out of his mind. I walked straight to him and introduce myself first . And then, so did he. After some shallow talks, we knew each other in general . He is Huy from Vietnam working as a tour guide for part time job. He looks as tired as me, but much more exhausted in fact. From what we communicated, I knew he just slept in the Kuala Lumpur international airport a whole night . So pity he was. After some time waiting, another EP Druvinke from Sri Lanka arrived. Three of us just chat a little before our buddy came to take us 'home'.
That was part of my first day there.
In the following days, our teammates get here continuously and we build a strong friendship.
To be frank, my English is not good, oral English in particular . So i can't catch up with them very well in the first week. But luckily, they all so kind and generous enough to share their experience about English learning. "English is not our our mother tongue as well, so don't be afraid
Of say something." Dru said. Those words inspire me a lot. I can feel so many friends around me to assist me boosting my English skills. I appreciate it very much. That is not a sole stuff which make me touch . Team spirit , through the whole project , making us like a family is the most important thing! Before, I always finish my stuff on my own, so I reckon a teammate is not necessary for me. But after that, a kind of atmosphere, environment that pushes encourages, inspires all of us to manage one same task, to achieve one same goal, really really really touched me much. Honestly, I had never experienced that feeling. A group of bliss , not only your own happiness, embrace you and your partner can share with you. What I achieve is a truckload of delight. It's much more meaningful. However, so many events happened like that. I couldn't describe at length. Besides our mutual effort, there's still one thing that impressed me so much.
I can still remember that night we have a gathering with a bunch of high school guys. To be honest , it's damn sweet and crazy of them. I miss them so much. They rented a big room for us to prepare a feast including big crabs, prawns, mantis shrimps, cutter fishes, lobsters, oysters so on and so forth. They cooked by themselves, which is really awesome. I felt ashamed of that, cuz I am about 5 or 6 years older than them without cooking anything. After dinner, they said they would have a surprise for us. Yes, it's absolutely a huge surprise! They make a collection of postcards which have different selfies on each page manually
. I realised that the value of that even surpass the money and time . It's our witness of friendship. I have learnt lot from that.
And another sparkling moment is when we have our own time to explore this country. Having fun like snorkelling , scuba diving , parasailing with your best friends is definitely the pleasures of life! As what I said above , happiness can pass one by one.
Now, I'm already back to my country mainland of China, and speak mandarin with my parents and friends here. Everything proceed as usual. Exchanging experience is best moment in my life . It's like a light in the dark not to lead me astray. It's like a teacher to contribute himself . Our value is not created by the price of our clothes or our bank balance or the job title that we have but the experience that we possessed.
