每种语言和文化都会有很多与数字有关的成语和俚语，比如我们中文中的“六六大顺”，“乱七八糟”等等，那么英文中有哪些含有数字的俚语呢？我们今天就一起来学习一下英文中与数字有关的俚语

1. a third wheel

自行车通常只有两个轮子，再加一个轮子，一定是多余的，所以人们用 the third wheel 来形容那些不需要，无足轻重的人，也就是我们汉语中常常说的“电灯泡”

例句：You two go ahead to the movie without me, I don't want to be a third wheel.你们两个自己去看电影吧，我不想当电灯泡。

2. be of two minds在两种想法中徘徊不定，无法决定选择哪一种，be of two minds 就表示犹豫不决，拿不定注意

例句：She's in two minds about accepting his invitation.是否接受他的邀请,她犹豫不决。

3. nine times out of ten十次中有九次都中了，这个短语就表示几乎总是，跟我们中文常说的十有八九意思相近

例句：Nine times out of ten we can solve the problem over the phone.

我们基本上都可以通过电话来解决问题。
