rout: to defeat (someone) easily and completely in a game or contest，表示“轻而易举地击败……”。
显然defeat已经不能说明程度，用rout表示defeat easily and completely，简单有力。英语是不轻易用形容词/副词的语言，只有词汇量不够的，才喜欢加此类修饰词。我就是其中之一。
1984年的洛杉矶奥林匹克运动会，美篮以97比47的悬殊大比分轻取中国队。可以说：
