It lasts 15 days and it’s the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar.
The start of the festival falls on a different day … the in either January or February is dictated by the lunar calendar.
With New Year’s day of 2016 falling on February the eighth.
And in the run-up to it, the whole country is on the move … the size seeing the sights and traveling homes to be with their families.
