Dental work is usually quite expensive. Appointments are usually made far in advance, but many dentists will try to fit you if you have an urgent problem. 牙医行业通常索价昂贵，而且看牙医一般都老早预约。但是如果你有紧急情况，很多牙科医生还是会设法抽空给你看的。

1. A: How long have you felt like this? 你有这种感觉多久了?

    B: It started bothering me yesterday afterenoon. 昨天下午开始烦我了。

    A: I think I'd better take an X-ray. 我想我最好拍张X光片。 

    B：Can you see anything? 你能看见什么吗？

    A：It's a small cavity. It should be easy to fill. 是个小洞。应该很容易填满。

2. A：When did your toothache start? 你的牙痛是什么时候开始的？

    B:  It's been this way for a few days. 这种情况已经持续了好几天了。

    A: Let me take a look at it. 让我看看。

    B：What do you think? 你觉得怎么样？

    A：You're got an abscess. I don't think we can save the tooth. 你得了脓肿。我想我们救不了这颗牙。

3. A: How long has it hurt? 疼多久了？

    B: The pain started last night. 昨晚开始疼的。

    A: Well,let's have a look. 嗯，让我看看。

    B：What are you going to have to do? 你要做什么？

    A：Your gums seem to be inflamed.You'll need treatment. 你的牙龈好像发炎了。你需要治疗。

4. A: How long have you been in pain? 你疼了多久了？

    B: It started to hurt when I was eating dinner. 我吃完饭的时候开始疼。

    A: Open your mouth as wide as you can, please. 请尽量张大你的嘴。 

    B：How bad is it? 有多糟？

    A：It's quite serious. I'm afraid we'll have to pull the tooth. 很严重。恐怕我们得把这颗牙拔掉。

If you have a hole, or a cavity.you may need a filling. Many adults have one or more fillings-often in their back teeth or molars.

You may have more serious problems with your teeth and sometimes the dentist will need to take an X-ray to see the damage to your teeth more clearly. For example, a tooth may be so rotten that the dentist recommends an extraction (pulling the tooth) or you may need root canal work.

4. I have a cavity here. 蛀牙（cavity is a hole in your tooth)

5. I got my tooth chipped yesterday.  chipped这里指牙齿碎掉，比如啃骨头时不小心把牙齿咬碎了。

6. I have these gaps between my front teeth.  Gap这里指牙齿之间有缝隙了。

7. I am really tired of the stains on my teeth.  stain这里指牙齿上面的色素沉积，比如牙齿变黄，变黑等。
