Steak 1

Do you like steak?

When you order a steak at a restaurant, the waiter always asks you an important question: "How would you like your steak cooked?" (你的牛排要几分熟？)

Steak 2

You then say how well done your steak should be. This means you choose how long to cook your steak.

There are five popular choices: rare（一分熟）, medium rare（三分熟）, medium（五分熟）, medium well（七分熟） and well done（全熟）.

Most people don't want to eat well-done steaks.

Well done steaks are dry. They don't always taste very good.

Some cooks think a well-done steak is not a good use of that steak. （一些厨师认为全熟对牛排来说不是好的烹饪方式。）

Extra cooking means less flavor.(过度烹饪意味着更少的味道。)
