    People are so fascinating about food all the time. Recent years, A bite of China, a documentary about traditional cuisine in China, rises a popular food culture on the Internet. I believe some of you already watched this remarkable documentary on You-tube. It caused a heated discussion on domestic network, too.

    But today, I will introduce a kind of snack on another excellent food documentary. The documentary is called A bite of Shunde, also filmed by CCTV with three episodes. We can tell from the literary meaning that the documentary is mainly introduce the wonderful delicious foods in Shunde Area(Foshan City in Guangdong Province). A bite of Shunde mentioned a kind of snack, which is often called Milk Custard with Egg White or Shunde Double-layer Milk Custard.

    Then what Double-layer mean? First, you need to boil a bowl of fresh milk. When the fresh milk get cold, you’ll get the first layer in the surface. Second, you pour out the milk under the first layer. Remember, you must keep the first layer complete in the bowl. Then, you mix the remain milk with egg white and sugar according to your favor. Third, you pour the mixed milk back to the bowl. You’ll have to pour the mixed milk back slowly cause you don’t want destroy the perfect first layer. And the last step, you boil the milk again and wait until it gets cold.

    A secret tip for you: Better flavor once for cold storage. You also could add some fresh fruits you like. We often add mango, lotus seed, ormosia here in Shunde.
