Since I read the Li xiaolai’s book Everyone can use English, I began learning English again.

In the past 200+days, I read English book and English articles every day, but one day I planned to read aloud the English instead of just reading it.

I have read aloud English for fifty days. The more I read aloud, the more I Love it. I just like the feeling. I fully immersed in it when I read aloud. No matter how tired I was, after reading aloud English, I got refreshed. No matter how upset I was, I became happy again after reading aloud.

Reading aloud can kill three birds with one stone.

First, reading aloud can improve your oral English.

The more you say it, the more you can master it. You will correct your wrong pronunciation, you will read more and more fluently. You can become more native.

Second, reading aloud can improve your comprehension.

Reading is not equal to understanding, especially for a foreign language.  If your just read it silently, you may skip and omit something, but when you read aloud, you must read word by word, you must pronounce every word, you must know where to stop. When you read aloud, you use your mouth, eyes and ears simultaneously. You are not just reading the words, you are also listening the words at the same time, which will greatly improve your comprehension.

Last but not the least, reading aloud can improve your listening.

Most people improve their listening by listening to a lot of material. Maybe you don’t need to practice listening deliberately, just read aloud. You can read the word, then you can recognize it when you listen to it. But if you can’t read the words, you can’t recognize them when you listen to.

Find someone to read aloud together

After days of reading aloud, I make a progress. My boyfriend witnessed my growth, so he accepted my invitation to join me together. We have read aloud together for 23 days. So there is not just “I love you” and “you love me”. We read aloud the some material and tape the voice and send it to each other. We correct each other, encourage each other and praise each other, we not only improve English, but also enhance relationship. When I read aloud the text, I will miss him, because I know we are doing the same thing in different cities.

The best method to maintain a relationship is to grow together, I think reading aloud together with your lover maybe a good choice.

So just read aloud day after day, you may receive surprise one day.
