A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
一个男人工作到很晚，回家后，十分困倦，发现他5岁的儿子在门口等他。
"Daddy , may I ask you a question?"
“爸爸，我能问你一个问题吗？”
"Yeah, sure ,what is it ?" replied the man.
“可以，说吧。”那人回答
"Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
“爸爸，你一个小时挣多少钱？”
"that's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"the man said angrily.
"I just want to know.Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"pleaded the little boy.
“不关你的事，为什么问这个”男人生气地说道。“我就是想知道，求求你，告诉我吧”男孩祈求道。
"If you must know, I make 20 dollars an hour"
“2美元一小时，如果你非要知道的话”
" Oh"the little boy replied,with his head down.
“哦”小男孩低着头回答道。
Looking up, he said,"Daddy, may I please borrow 10 dollars?"
他抬起头又问“爸爸，那你能借我10美元吗？”
The father was very angry,"If the only reason you asked that is you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense,then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed.
爸爸非常生气地说道：“如果你问这个就想借点钱去买那些没用的玩具或者其它玩意儿，那你直接回屋睡觉吧”
Thinked about why you are so selfish.I work long hard hours everyday and don't have time for such this childish bahavior."
“然后想想你是多么自私。我每天辛辛苦苦上班没工夫跟你玩这种愚蠢的游戏”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.The man sat down and started get even angrier about the boy's questions.
小男孩默默地回到自己的房间，把门关上。爸爸坐下来后越想越气。
How dare he ask such question only to get some money?
“”为了跟我要钱竟敢问这种问题！“”
After about an hour or so,the man had calmed down,and started to think:
He may have been a little hard on his son.Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that 10 dollars and he really didn't ask for money very often.
过了一个小时后，男人渐渐冷静下来，开始想“他对儿子有点粗暴了，或许他真的需要那10美元，而且他也不经常跟我要钱。”
The man went to the door of the littlle boy's room and opened it.
男人推开门，走进了小男孩的房间
"Are you asleep, son?" he asked.
“儿子，你睡了吗？”他问。
"No, Daddy, I am awake."replied the boy.
"没有，爸爸。” 小男孩回答道。
"I've been thingking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,"said the man.
“我在想，刚才对你太粗暴了”男人说。
"It's been a long day and I took out my anger on you ,here's the 10 dollars you asked for ."
“工作一天了，我迁怒与你了，给你这10美元”
The little boy sat straight up, smiling."oh, thank you Daddy!"he yelled.
小男孩立刻笑着站了起来，欢呼道：“耶，谢谢爸爸！”
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
然后，他伸手去枕头底下掏出一些皱皱巴巴的票子。
The man,seeing that his son already had money,started to get angry again.
男人看见他儿子的钱后，又开始火了。
The little boy slowly counted out his money,then looked up at his father.
小男孩小心翼翼地数着手中的钱，然后抬起头看着他的父亲。
"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father said.
“你有钱为什么还跟我要钱？”父亲问道。
"Because I didn't have enough,but now I do ."the little boy replied.
“以为我的钱还不够，但是现在够了”小男孩答道。
"Daddy, I have 20 dollars now.can I buy an hour of you time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you ."
“爸爸，我已经有20美元了。 我能买你一个小时的时间吗？能不能明天早点回来，我想跟你一起吃晚餐”
The father was crushed.He put his arms arroud his little son,and he begged for his forgiveness.
父亲有点崩溃了，他紧紧地抱着儿子，祈求着他儿子的原谅。

昨天跟老公一起看了最新的《奇葩说》，这一期也正好是在讨论关于陪伴孩子的问题。不过论题有点大开脑洞，是“如果爸爸不能每周陪伴孩子12个小时，爸爸这个称号是否能取消”。颜如晶在辩论的时候有段话让我记忆犹新。她说：“孩子的一生就像是一部电视连续剧，从第一集到第二十集，他会慢慢地改变。如果父母没有看过前二十集，在第二十一集却突然站出来说，这个女的不能和那个男的在一起。这时候是不是为时已晚。孩子的人生比连续剧要糟糕的多，连续剧你不看还可以补，但是孩子的1-20岁不看的时候，你就永远看不到了。”
就像上面的故事一样，请各位爸爸妈妈多抽出自己的时间来陪伴一下自己的孩子吧，因为时间不会等你，孩子会不知不觉就长大了。
