①What a worrying scene the picture has presented.②On a boat,two people are tossing rubbish into the lake which has already been seriously polluted by a huge amount of floating rubbish.③However, people inthe picture turned a blind eye to the worsening condition of the lake.
①This enlightening and thought-provoking picture, in my opinion,gives a glimpse of the severity of environmental pollution.②Clearly,with the rapid development of economy in today’s world，the environment, a life-or-death matter to all mankind, is being polluted tremendously.③In public places people have no awareness that their irresponsible behaviors can cause great damage to the environment.④They overuse the limited natural resources, and keep on pouring waste materials into rivers and lakes, which not only heavily contaminates the environment, but also results in pollution-related diseases.⑤Consequently, it isurgent for us to figure out effective approaches to better our environment.⑥Otherwise,the economic prosperity can not last a long time, and a harmonious society will never come to us.
①In the final analysis, subsequent measures should be carried out without any hesitation.②On one hand,relevant government departments are expected to advance their efforts in publicity so as to raise public awareness in environmental protection.③On the other hand, we citizens should start to take initiative to protect our local environment in the first place.④Only by close cooperation between government and the public can we set up a society in which man kind and nature exist in harmony and every citizen embraces a beautiful nature and a decent life.
