【感想】

Simplify

读完第三章，印象最深刻的就是这个单词了。尤其是书中所举的一些例子，比如滥用过渡词，刻意使用自觉“高大上”的复杂的表达，感觉都是说的自己。有时候写完，看着自己的“长篇大论”还沾沾自喜，觉得这是自己胸中有物的表现。现在想起来真惭愧！没有站在读者的角度审视自己的文章，只顾自己说得高兴。

学习确实是一个痛苦的过程，总是在发现自己做得不够好的地方，希望可以坚持下来。

例句：Profuse sweating is one of the symptoms of heat exhaustion.

3. layoff

原文: When the Digital Equipment Corporation eliminated 3,000 jobs its statement didn’t mention layoffs.

释义：n. a situation where someone has to leave their job, because they are no longer needed.

同义词：redundancy
