- Lights out for passengers at the world's busiest airport, a power outage at Atlanta's heart's field Jackson international airport halted flights and darking corridors on Sunday. Planes bounded for Atlanta were also grounded before taking off. The cause of the outage wasn't immediately clear.
- French president Emmanuel Macron opening the door for diplomacy in Syria. In an interview that aired Sunday Macron said France and its allies must open dialogs with Syrian president Bashar Al Assad. Macron said he expected the IS group to be defeated in Syria by Feb and which point the talks begin.
- In the West Bank, Palestinian protestors setting ablaze effigies of president Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The burnings came amid continue protests to president Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
- And Pope Francis celebrated his 80's birthday with a giant pizza. The Pope blew out a single candle on the 13 foot pizza on Sunday and the cake to delight the wide of the crowd. Pope Francis took the time to thank the crowd for their birthday wishes before his usual Sunday appearance.
