Parents are the best teachers.

AD:

Parents shape their children from the beginning of their children's lives.

1. They develop close emotional ties with their children.

2. They share their interests with them.

3. They teach them values.

Indeed parents can be more important teachers in their children's lives; however, they are not always the best teachers.

DA:

1. Parents may be too close to their children emotionally. They may limit a child's freedom in the name of safety.

2. Parents sometimes expect their children's interests to be similar to their own. 

3. Although parents want to pass  on their values to their children, values can change.

We have many teachers in our lives. Our parents teach us, our teachers teach us, and we learn from our peers. Books and newspapers also teach us. All of them are valuable.
