what are you up to tonight?

Well, I was supposed to be headed for New Jersey and meet my friend, but now, nothing!

what are you up to = what are you doing = what have you been doing

Eg. “Hey, bro, what are you up to?”

“I am working on my essay.”

但是如果在”what are you up to”后面加特定时间,比如:what are you up to this summer?

    suppose      /səˈpoʊz/

    v. to think that something is likely to be true

Eg. Joe didn’t answer his phone, so I suppose (that) he’s busy.

    Joe

    be supposed to do/be something

to be expected to behave in a particular way, especially according to a rule, an agreement, or someone in authority

Eg. Candy’s new film is supposed to be (=generally people think it is) very good.

    Candy

    v. used to show that you think something is true, although you wish that it were not

Eg. I suppose that all the tickets will be sold by now.

    head for

To travel toward some destination

Eg. We headed for New York.

To set something or someone on a course toward some destination, situation or condition.

Eg. You are headed for trouble if you keep telling such lies.
