Grandpa was the oldest in the family, so he went to school. He started primary school when he was seven years old, and there was no kindergarten there. At that time, the school was 20 kilometers away from home, so grandpa had to walk to school by himself every week. When it rained, he was soaked to the skin by the time he got to school, but he had to let the clothes dry he had no change of clothes. Every time he went to school, he would take a bag of flour and some potatoes or pumpkins with him. Of course, school meals are also simple, daily cabbage and potatoes, not a meal of meat. Because the family was very poor, it was not easy to go to school, so grandpa cherished the opportunity to go to school. Study hard every day and have no time to rest. Sometimes, teachers will organize them to do some farm work, so we are much more tired than now. Later, when he finished the sixth grade, he successfully passed the exam to enter the middle school there. Unfortunately, the family had no money to send him to junior high school, so he had to drop out.
