Since I moved to Ling's house, having dinner has become something I am looking forward to. Because it is a good chance to enjoy various cuisine, also we are able to share our routine life and the latest news with each other. Today was Singapore theme and there were Tom Yam Fried Fish (酸辣汤煎鱼), fried spinach and fried yellow capsicum with shrimps. I particularly like the hot and sour flavour of the soup as well as the pineapple slices and okras inside. What's more, Jenny left a dessert for me, a sour cherry cake. It tasted awesome!
As I had a consultation talk and trial class this afternoon at a language school, I told Jenny and Ling about my feedback and wanted to get their ideas. Personally, I think this training institution was not so good as expected. Although the director who met me looked very genuine, I was not much impressed by the teacher's casual teaching style and the students all looked less motivated. Maybe they are the so-called "cash cows", who are supported financially by their parents and do not have so much pressure as me. Anyway, this is not what I am searching for.
Back in China last year, I was just too hasty to get a satisfactory test result and tended to rely too much on the “Assured Class”. However, as it turned out, all of it was wholly marketing hype and I am supposed to count more on myself. Ling suggested I can turn to a private tutor to get proper guidance and attend an online course at the same time, which may offer a wide range of useful resources with higher cost performance. I believe this is a good idea. Apart from that, my bestie Sandra even bought online course materials to support my English study. Thank U!
Another thing worth mentioning is Ling is busy preparing a beautiful cake and a handmade bouquet for her best friend's birthday party. Her dedication to the handicraft impressed me so much and it looked like a work of art! Moreover, it brings back the fond memories that Sandra made a plant specimen and gave me as a birthday present. Of course not so delicate as Ling's, but I think the thought counts more.
Today is International Women's Day and I wish all females healthy and happy. We are born in a good era in which we can have a say and pursue what we want. So march on and make it!
Cheers, Smart And Beautiful Ladies!
