Honorable judges, good morning. Here are some stamps I made for you. Hope you will like them. Yes, rubber stamping is the best talent I have got. Well actually, I picked up this skill all by myself from the Internet. I design rubber stamps for friends’ birthday and family occasions. So in a way, it has become my special way of sharing. I am keeping a journal of all the stamps I made and the stories behinds them. And here are some of my favorites. The Chinese character Fu and a red pony which I designed for the Spring Festival. It means good fortune is coming.
I love my grandma and I know what she loves most. So she was overjoyed when she saw the stamping of Buddha and Chairman Mao that I designed for her. Linda is my best friend. Before she left Shanghai, secretly I designed this cute stamp for her. It took me a week to cut all the fine lines of her hair. She was really excited and she burst into tears when she received this stamp. I am so fond of rubber stamp craft. I believe I am the best at rubber stamping. Thank you.

要点解读
确定了主题之后,就要对内容进行写作和修改。实际上,英语风采大赛不仅考查的是选手的口语能力,写作能力也同时会体现出来。如果作文都写不好,对语法、高级词汇和长难句无法正确运用,口语水平是不会提高的。
(1)开门见山
选手只用了几秒钟的时间与评委打招呼、说早上好,这是可以接受的。但是说Honorable judges对评委来说其实是没有什么感觉的,所以省去这几秒种也是没有问题的。
(2)在准备演讲稿时,避免出现错误和不当的用法
文中出现了一处用词错误:I am keeping a journal of all the stamps I made and the stories behinds them.中的behinds应为behind。
文中的句子The Chinese character Fu and a red pony which I designed for the Spring Festival. It means good fortune is coming.可以改为:The Chinese character Fu and a red pony, which I designed for the Spring Festival, means good fortune is coming.这样改之后句子就有了“非限定性定语从句”,使得整个句子更连贯,也更学术。
So she was overjoyed when she saw the stamping of Buddha and Chairman Mao that I designed for her.中的stamping改为stamps。文中的句子Before she left Shanghai, secretly I designed this cute stamp for her.中的secretly最好放在句尾。
(3)语言能力是关键
选手的语言能力很强,发音十分地道。在演讲过程中出现了小小的停顿,但是他脱口而出了Well actually作为连接,这样的自然表达缓冲了前面的中途停顿带来的不连贯。在表达祖母收到礼物的喜悦时,他用了overjoyed这个词,展现了他用词的实力,使听众感到很有画面感,祖母的那种喜悦之情似乎就在眼前,生动而不落俗套,这个词用得非常到位。
(4)舞台表现是加分
选手非常自信地站在台上,手里拿着iPad,一边展示自己的设计作品,一边叙述与之相关的经历,颇有设计师展示作品的风范,声情并茂,娓娓道来。但是,选手的目光过于集中在iPad屏幕上,没有很好地顾及到与评委目光的交流,而且表情过于严肃,自己没有展现出内容中多要体现的情感。
另外,选手手持道具,没有移动位置,很拘谨地站在一个地方,不够自然和舒展。如果能够很自然地左右移动,与评委有交流互动,再加上语气中的丰富情感,就会加分不少。
