你现在的点滴行动正在构建你的未来

最下面这段中英文是网课上老师要求学习的成长课视频内容，我反复看了很多遍，用语音输入法练习口语，把内容输出变成文字，并重新整理了原文我觉得不是很合适的字幕内容。

这段话的主要意思表达的是：你现在的点滴行动正在构建你的未来，所以想在未来得到什么，现在就要定好目标，每天进步一点点，不要太过情绪化，不要让恐惧占据心灵而阻碍自己的脚步，以前发生过什么事不重要，重要的是你接下来打算怎么做？

You can't connect the dots  looking forward，you can only connect them looking backwards，so you have to trust that the dots somehow connect in your future.

或有有些人认为这是不实用的心灵鸡汤，但据我自己的经历，我知道这是真实有用的概括，确实，眼下的点滴行动并不能让人马上看到未来，但通过回顾却会发现点滴的行动在构建你的未来。

2012年我开始有记录地、持续地阅读和写作，因为以前的基础太差，2012、2013、2014年这三年都感觉不到明显的进步，身边也有一些朋友说读书无用，现在很少看读文章等等，让我多做一些实际的事情，多出去走走，我自己半信半疑，但实在找不到更好的方法，依然坚持阅读和写作。

经历过一段充满艰难与怀疑的积累之后，2015年我开始感觉到自己明显的提升，因为词汇量和见识的增加，谈吐变得丰富起来，不再那么害怕与人相处和交流，对事物的观察和思考能力也在变强，写过的书评出现了排在第一的记录，后来开通了微信公众账号，有些读者会偶尔给些金钱的赞赏，有些朋友开始向我咨询他们的人生困惑。

目前我对文字的把控能力，对学习和阅读材料的选择，对某些事情的见解和做法已经优于身边很多的朋友，得益于这些年的点滴行动和积累，也还需要未来的继续积累。

这周豆瓣上有编辑发邮件给我约书评，深圳本地的一个学习群群主问我是否愿意加入文案组。这些机会曾经是我梦寐以求的，也接过一些书评，但现在却被我拒绝了，我的时间不够用，我有其它更重要的事情要做。

我想要像提升阅读和写作能力一样去提升英语能力，我已经嚷着学习英语嚷了很多年了，但付出的时间和精力不多，一直拖延，现在还没有明显的进步。

我想要逐渐养成锻炼和健身的好习惯，每天进行一点点的运动，打好身体的基础，健康的身体是开展其它一切活动的前提。

我想要提升对数字的敏感度，了解简单数字背后复杂的事件关联，学习金融理财知识，让工作做得更好，财务状况更进一步，生活变得更容易和开心。

还想去考驾照和提升摄影水平，时间和精力有限，这些要往后排一排。

我已经有了一些实战的经验：阅读和写作的积累已经让我有了明显的收获；对内在和外在的同时关注和投入，让我的个人形象比以前有了明显的提升；坚持12点前睡觉，7点前起床，让我逐渐懂得平衡休息和投入行动的重要；几乎不点外卖，好好照顾自己。

我知道这些实战的经验还远远不够，有时候还是会懈怠，有时候还是会情绪化，把实现梦想的行动一再推迟，一周、三个月、半年等等。

这一段带有总结性的话刚好可以用来做我的警醒，让我更清楚地明白现在的点滴行动正在构建我的未来，我会面临困难和挑战，但不要因此而停止，未来会看到答案。

You can't connect the dots  looking forward

你无法通过点滴行动去展望未来

You can only connect them looking backwards

你只能通过回顾才能看见它们的关联

So you have to trust that the dots somehow connect in your future

因此你必须相信点滴行动在未来总会以某种方式串联起来

You have to trust in something

你必须始终持有信念

Your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever

不管那是你的胆识，命运，人生，还是因果报应

Because believing that the dots will connect down the road

Will give you the confidence to follow your heart

Even when it leads you off the well worn path

Your time is limited

So don't waste it living in someone else's life

Don't be trapped  by dogma

You've got to find what you love

And that is true for your work as it is for your lovers

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life

and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work

Anybody can feel good when they have health, their bills are paid, they have happy relationships

Anybody can be positive then

Anybody can have a large vision then

Anybody can have faith under those kinds of circumstance

Comes when you get knocked down

You want it and you are going to go all out to have it

It's not going to be easy, when you want to change , it's not easy

If it were in fact easy, everybody would do it

But if you are serious, you'll go all out

I'm in control here

It doesn't matter about what happened to you , what matter is: 'but are you going to do about it ?'

To persevere I think it is important for everybody
