After unveiling the secret that genes are carried on DNA and confirming the  models of DNA, the following question is how do genes work or how DNA actualize their inheritance function?

An essential discipline in nature is structure determines function. Hand from God twists the bases on DNA into a double helix, which explains how genes engage in their three main activities.

1. Replication.  The complementary nature of the two DNA strands in a gene allows them to be replicated faithfully by separating and serving as templates for the assembly of two new complementary strands. This is called semiconservative replication.

2. Carrying information.  The sequence of bases in nucleotides is a genetic code that carries the information can introduce the synthetic of RNA. Most of these are m-RNA that carry the information to protein-factory, ribosomes. That means every polypeptide chain consisted of protein is made according to the gene's leading.

3.Collecting mutation. Genes change in a number of ways.  Only one base change can give rise to mutation, which may result in gene disease. We are supposed to say one base to hell.
