This morning, when I got up early at about half past six, my baby daughter May was waken up.
She was still sleepy but she cried and wanted me to stay with her.
I had to get up and go to work early but when I saw her pity little faces, I sighed and fed her with breast milk, in the hope that she would fall sleep soon so that I could go to work early.
She did sleep soon.
However, when I got up, she woke up again and cried, needing me to stay with her. But if I stayed with her, I would be late or even missed the morning testing class.
At that time, I was feeling two forces tearing me. It was hard to choose. Being a mom of young baby and working woman, I felt so helpless.
I envied the women in west countries and Japan because they need not go to work when their children were young.
I struggled for a moment and put my baby onto the bed.
Regardless of her crying, I went to work.
I am feeling frustrated at wok but I still work hard because it pays me to support my family.
After work, when I stay with my baby, I always feel joyful and a sense of achievement, especially when I found she learns new things.
Today, I found she has learned to ask for help.
When she was playing her toy on the bed, her toy fell off the bed, she held my hand and pionted to where her toy was.
What's more, she has learned to clap her hands. When I say, "Baby, clap your hands." She would do it happily.
Besides, she has understood many of our words. When I asked her, "Where is your dad?" She would piont to her dad.
The little girl likes new toys and she would lost interest to the toys she has played with one or two days later.
She creeps around in the flat. Anything she finds can be her toys, books, spoons, toothpaste, photos, socks and so on.
Sometimes, she even plays with her own little toes, she even sucks them. When I found she do that, I felt amused and stopped her.
It is hard to be a working mom but I never regret having the baby. She is the resource of my happiness.
