Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound’s the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

最后4句总觉得这带着安慰自己不要寻死的意思：看呐雪夜的森林多美妙——漆黑又深邃（潜台词：好想在这里永远睡去），却又劝自己：不行啊——在死之前我还有承诺需要遵守，还有长长的一段路要走（别的事情需要完成）。最后的重复是加强语气试图说服自己。。

Seekerkk估计是结合电影得出的结论，如果结合全诗，感觉作者应该不是要自我了断，而是到了这一片很符合自己心境的树林，一下子就被深深地打动了，就想就此隐居下来，可想到自己还有俗事缠身，不能就此落定。于是最后两句重复是一种无奈加惋惜的喃喃自语，是对自身奔波命运的咏叹。
