东方文艺复兴人，两岸破冰之旅领头人，中国电脑之父范光陵院士的母亲李国彝女士曾经在北京的中国大学读书。後来，她和尊敬的宋庆龄女士及宋美龄女士建立了良好关系。下面是他和宋美龄女士的集体照，她就站在穿白色大衣的宋美龄女士正后面第一排左边第三位，衣服颜色比较清淡的那一位。
范光陵母亲李国彝名誉博士是清代名相李鸿章后人，后来也与巴金同为世界七大百岁作家之一，因为全力鼓劢长子范光陵不顾生命危险，为了中华民族一家亲及一个中国，完成两岸首次破冰之旅，被誉为与 ““孟母三迁” 同样伟大母爱的 “范母破冰”。
范母和范父 - 孙中山先生在日本从事革命时的特助范苑声教授，是先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐的宋代范仲淹后人，也是安徽名校之一野寨中学与南岳书院创始及创意人。父母二人从范光陵幼时，即鼓励和支持他学习国学，新儒学，六艺 - 礼，乐，射，御，书，数。打好了范光陵后来中华传统文化，唱歌，书画，电脑和忠孝仁爱的心理基础。
范光陵在重庆读南温泉小学一年级时，经常要躲避日本的轰炸，同时也有机会跟着父亲随徐悲鸿伯伯，张大千伯伯开始了绘画。后来范光陵在美国纽约大学，哥伦比亚大学读书时，在学校里选修了绘画课及东西方文化，同时它又在纽约市的大都会美术馆与现代美术馆选修。又在纽约市立大学读过机械及电机工程研究院，开啟了他电脑及文理并重的人生旅程。
范光陵曾经是蒋介石的英语翻译，也请他担任文化委员。后来代国际文化委员会主任委员。
蒋经国经常单独邀请他回家与夫人蒋方良三人用餐。有些重要亊，常吩咐范光陵写文章先吹风。如下面当时国民党重要机关报头条报道：
多年来，范光陵响应全面振兴中华传统文化，在世界上多次以中英文主讲国学。又努力学习孔孟，程朱，陆王，钱穆，傅斯年等，把中华传统文化编成四书五经各101字，并自译为英文，以推广教普，走上世界。目前仍在大力研究，学习，响应，推行中。

Accomplishing oneself through benevolence, accomplishing everything through wisdom. To be understanding and wise to preserve one's life. Those who are foolish and self - righteous, those cheap and making arbitrary decisions, disasters will come. Know near from far, know the coming winds, know the apparent from small, one can enter the great virtue.

In the Garden of Loneliness of the kingdom Sravasti（Se Wei Guo)，Budda (Fo Tuo) went to the city begging for food. After the meal, Budda sermoned: Good indeed, The Tathagata (Ru lai Fo, ) is good at protecting all bodhisattvas (Pu Sa, gods). If a bodhisattva has my appearance, human appearance, appearances of various people, appearance of a long life span, who is not a bodhisattva. All the appearances are untrue. Once one sees all the appearances are untrue, you see Buddha. If one sees me with colors, with sounds, one can’t see Buddha.
Those who listened to Buddha’s words are very happy. All conditioned occurrences are like a dream, a fantasy，a bubble, the morning dew or the lightning."

Self-improvement ceaslesly. With accumulated morality one can carry heaviness. Unenough goodness will not make one famous; unenough badness will not be enough to kill the person. Nothing is unreasonable. There‘s always a reason. The reason people are willing to help is rooted on one's faithfulness. A family for goodness and charity will enjoy more celebrations；A family of badness will face more disasters. Gentlemen change to when facing the goodness ；correct when facing the wrong doing. Birds of a feather flock together. People divide by groups. Poverty makes change, change makes progress, and progress makes time. To establish humanbeing through benevolence and righteousness. In high position，be not proud；in lower position，be not worry.
