形容词原级,比较级,最高级
原级--比较级(更...)--最高级(最...)
比较级用法:
A+动词 + 比较级 + than + 被比较的B
The line in the middle is shorter than the other two.中间的线比其他两条线短.
The shirt on the left is more expensive than the shirt on the right. 左边的衬衫比右边的贵.
基本形式:
比较级--形容词 + er 或者 more + 形容词
最高级--形容词+est 或者 most + 形容词
最高级用法:the + 形容词最高级 +名词
Xiaoming is the shortest student in the class. 小明是班上最矮的学生
Winter is the coldest season because the sun is at its lowest point in the sky.冬天是最冷的季节,因为太阳位于天空中的的最低点.
这里的lowest 没有加the ,因为前面有物主代词 its.
the + 最高级 + of + 比较范围
The top line is the longest of the three lines.顶上的线是三条线里最长的.
定语从句
在整句中起定语作用的从句
定语从句 = 关系词 + 主谓结构
关系词:引导定语从句的词,连接主语与定语从句.
先行词:被定语从句修饰的词
Spring is the season when the weather gets warmer each day.
这里的 season 是先行词,when是关系词
spring is the season,主谓宾都有了,但是这半句话的意思,春天是个季节,本意想描述一下是什么样的季节,season 是个时间,课文使用了可以代表时间的关系副词when 联系起来,when the weather gets warmer each day. 这整个后半句话就像一个加长版的形容词一样,修饰先行词 season.
天气一天天转暖的季节.
Rainy season is the season when some countries get most of their rainfall.
雨季是有些国家降雨量最多的季节.
物品做先行词,关系词选that/which
This is the photo that/which I took last year.这是我去年拍的那张照片.
人做先行词,关系词 选that/who
I don't trust people that/who talk too much.我不相信话多的人.
Be going to 和 will 区别
will 强调客观事实
be going to 强调人的主观意愿或判断
It will rain tomorrow.(天气预报报道的)明天要下雨.
It's going to rain tomorrow.(看到乌云密布推测)明天要下雨.

In his dream ,some thing is chasing him.So he is running as fast as he can.
在他的梦里,有什么东西在追他,所以他拼尽全力跑.

tour 旅游 + ist = tourist 游客
This old man is a tourist.这位老人是一名游客.
art 艺术+ ist = artist 艺术家

look out 朝外看/小心

Because + 句子
Summer is the hottest season because the sun is at its highest point in the sky.夏天是最热的季节,因为太阳位于天空中的最高点.
because of + 名词
Many people like to go swimming in the summer because of the hot weather.因为天气热,所以许多人夏天喜欢游泳.
because of you 因为你.
last 持续
后边一般接 for+一段时间 表示持续多久
Rainy season usually lasts for one or two month.雨季通常持续一到两个月.

traffic accident 交通事故
The traffic accident stopped the traffic.交通事故阻断了交通
The traffic was stopped for nearly 15 minutes.交通被阻断了将近十五分钟.(被动语态 be动词+动词的过去分词)

by + 时间点 到....(时候),到...(时间)之前
You are supposed to finish your home work by five o'clock.你应该在五点前完成作业.
By the time I got there it was too late to get on the flight.我到的太迟了,赶不上那班飞机.
for + 时间 一段时间
not + for + 时间 表示在这段时间内没有发生某事
The next flight wasn't for another 3 hours .下一班飞机还要等三个小时.
