限定词的作用：
1）表示特指或泛指；
2）表示指代关系或所属关系；
3）表示数量。
例：
the apple.
a banana.
this chair.
my book.

一、表示特指或泛指：
定冠词the表示特指，不定冠词a/an表示泛指。
例：
I had an apple and a banana this morning.
I ate the apple and I gave the banana to my sister.
二、表示指代关系：
this、that+单数名词
these、those+复数名词
例：
I love this book.
Those kids are really cute.
补充：such、what、which也是表指代关系的限定词：
例：
I don't have such problems.
What problem do you have?
Which bag is yours?
三、表所属关系：
1.形容词性物主代词做限定词：
my 我的 、our我们的
your 你们/你们的
his 他的 、her 她的 、 its它的
their 他们的

补充：whose也可做限定词，表所属关系：

2.名词所有格做限定词：
例：

单数名词与限定词：
单数名词在句子中不能独立做成分，必须添加限定词：
