Headmaster:
1.Welcome everyone to Newport Secondary School, my name is Ben Steward and I am your headmaster.

2. I am sure you are all very excited about your first day and we are very happy to have you here.
3. Before you begin your classes, I would like to tell you about the school rules.
4. The first and most importan rule is listenning your teachers.
5. If they give you homework, make sure you finish it on time and always pay attention in class.
6. Next, be sure to come to school on time in the morning and after lunch.
7. Don't be late! And always wear your school uniform.
8. Do not wear jewellery as this is not part of the school uniform.
9. When you are in the class, don't eat, drink or chew gum.
10. You will all be given a locker to put your books in.
11. Make sure you keep this tidy and do not damage it.
12. And finally, remember to treat your teachers and classmates with respect.
13. I am sure you will all follow these rules and be very successful.
