Italy
· Good evening everyone! I’m ***, also you can call me KIKI. To be honest, I prefer the latter one. I’m glad to do the first presentation of this semester although I’m filling a little nervous now. okay, let’s start my topic--- The top 3 places in Italy for traveling. I think maybe most of you wish to have a good trip to Europe, but there are too many countries in Europe. So today I’d like to recommend Italy for you.
· As we all know, Italy is a beautiful country but one of those countries which you probably have some questions and preconception before you come to this special country. A place be rich in olive oil, pasta, wine and so on. Italy has a lot to give its tourists. Although some of these conceptions are amazing and interesting, it would be a shame if that is the only thing you come away with. Italy is certainly much more complex and stimulating than these concepts.
· Italy is located in the south of Europe. Look at this map, what does the shape look like? It looks like a boot with high heel. I thought it’s a little funny. And this is the national flag. The red means kindness, white means belief, green means hope. Italy is very diverse and there are many beautiful cities. It has awesome architecture, culture and history. These are the top 3 cities according to me in Italy.
· Venice is one of a kind, such a colourful and romantic city. It has been known as “city of water”, “city of bridges”, ”the floating city”. In my opinion, Venice becomes even more charming during Carnival(狂欢节),which is the most world-famous festival. Anyway the Venice Carnival is an adventure worth experiencing.
· Visiting Rome, one of the special thing to do is throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain. Then you use your right hand to throw a coin into the pool over your left shoulder. Each coin makes a wish. Rome, is home to Colosseum(罗马斗兽场), a world wonder as well as world’s biggest basilica of Christianity. Every year millions of tourists visit this attraction, it is one of the seven wonders of world.
· Florence is considered the birthplace of the renaissance (文艺复兴), and has been called the Athens of the middle ages. It is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture.
