Just got off Bus 29 Bella broke a red light shamelessly then started striking on the main avenue. Hardly ever really look into others on the street, she merely chooses to stare at the higher space above passers-by's heads, at various grotesque Anglo-Saxon-styled roofs, at brightly tinged autumn leaves, at exotic shapes and lines of eaves, windows and doors, at bushes in blossom, at those distinct hats, at giant trees, at stalls, birds, skies,.... In a moment she felt unprecedentedly the reality of being free from worldly bondage, no suffering from trying to be a good person, no pursuit mundane success, no worries and anxieties, but just enjoyed the existence of her being and all work which has been done by the Lord---soft tenderness fulfilled her inside as if she was spotted by the light projected from the outer space. Cool head, beating heart, buzzing hands, shiny days.
Following a big muslin family, a senior-aged mother in an overall black robe, 4 kids--- one elder one pretending chiding her three mischievous litter sisters, prancing, mincing, laughing, cheering like having a street family party, then was the girl Bella, in the succession, moving across the overarching railway bridge entering into a shadow, which accidentally created a temporary shelter for street people, those jobless, homeless, or deliberate people living under certain roofs. Then the beggar, weathered lined face with silver beard and hair, kneeling on the ground against the wall surrounded with garbage, nevertheless, some mild evening orangish light still shedding on part of his face...shining, smiling, he seemed greeting silently to these children with little intention to beg, just smiling from bottom of heart at them, his head nodding lightly, tenderness flowing from the angle of his jaw towards his thick silver eyebrows forming like a crest-moon..."hello, hello, hello,.... how are you?" the kids said hellos to him cheerfully and innocently, then the mom, then the girl....the man lifted a little bit his head when we passed him and gave back his deep voice, "hello, hello, hello, hello, I am fine. How are you today..."
This morning Bella went to a local London bank at Piccadilly Circus where she was interrogated, joking, required to answer some 100 questions there. It was boring... then this bank guy Iveram carefully chatted with her about her recent life. They exchanged thoughts about the street thieves, robbers, insurance and even government, and then she felt a little relieved going on with the process. Yes, thanks for those meaningful strategic small interludes helping with ridding of worries and anxieties, and for making an hour's intensive data collection and instant decisions making end happily and peacefully. As she stepped downstairs, Iveram escorted her alongside to the ground floor then he checked with colleagues after making sure the following process would go on unproblematically he turned back to Bella to reassure her again. Smoothly! ....after probably an hour she got his phone call in a cozy Japanese restaurant when she was trying to write ごめんなさい, clear-targeted questions solved in a second;)
Her new London friend, Y, studying in London Music school wakened her at 8:30 in the morning, urging her for a morning revival....dragging her out of darkness onto a spiritual refreshing new start....
At night, if Bella couldn't sleep, she would take a brisk walk along Holloway road, whenever she looks at the sky, she feels she could touch the love and the light sent by the stars, the universe, and all those invisible unknown friends there...
