2/10, Feedback from Zachary;
1) difference between my class and those he considered as excellent: control over questions. e.g. I ask a question, and a student gives me a wrong answer. How do I lead him/walk him towards the right answer rather than just giving a right answer?
2) lots of times, I asked a question, no one answers, I will imediately give them the answer.
Sometimes, it's because they don't understand the questions. So it's better for me, to repharase the question; ask again; or pause for 30sec.
3) add pause for students to catch up; (in the fomat like activiteis; asking questions and wait long)
4) design questions based on Bxx taxonomy: know/understand/apply/analyze;
Zachary: my questions are all in the same level; ask advanced questions!
5)train students by waiting: if no one answers, just wait, to let them know someome got answer.
6) activity: some advanced questions; let students pair and discuss for one minute; then volunteer.
7)my accent: he said he can understand 95%, because the pace is good: not too slow; not too fast. also because the engagement; and my concistency.
8) video: too long. usually 2-3min is great.
9) chocolate thing: very good.
