1. Why does the writer name this episode 'the one with the giant poking device'?

In this episode, the six friends found out the ungly naked guy was sleeping in his house without a slight movement in the whole morning. Addtionally, Pheobe told them she is under a curse that someone would be dead every time she went to see the dentist,hence they created a long giant poking device to see if  ugly naked guy was still alive. This is where the name came about.

At 03:01 Joey has just happened to discover Janice kissing her ex-husband, the matress king in the office, but he knows she's in a serious relathionship with Chandler, his roommate and best friend. If you discover your friend's girlfriend or boyfriend cheating on him or her, are you gonna tell your friend? It's not an easy question for anyone.If he or she was my best friend who I truly understand, I will definitely tell him the fact I saw but reserve my judgment on what has happened to leave the choice to him.I always believe it's wise not to meddle in someone's love affair rashly.

At 03:43 Why does Phoebe burst into tears when she's leaving for the dentist? Though nobody believes Phoebe is under the curse, she still took it seriously fearing to put the jinx on her best friends. She went into tears thinking that someone would die when she would come back from the dentist. In the meantime, she warned her best friends to be on the lookout for anything that they could fall into.

At 14:06 the six fashion a very long poking device. This is the second time I saw the word fashion. It means to desigh or make something especially by hands. We can say China sucks in parts and materials to fashion them into goods for exports. Here ‘poke’ is an interesting word. This week, someone in my group posted an article in which China Daily poked fun at a Taiwanest host who has taken the guts to translate the speech for the foreign guest but it turned out she could barely understand what the American was talking about. It's absolutely their fault not to hire a professional translator for this event, but this is not the reason for a mainstream media in China to habitually mock at Taiwan, India or Japan.

At 12:11 In this episode, Monica gave Ben a bonk on the head accidently when playing with and swinging him in the air. Unfortunately Ben seemed to have mixed Monica's name with this onomatopoeia 'bang'. Monica feared Ross would get to know finally Ben had got a bonk on the head. She cried at 15:17 'I wrecked your baby'. It's a metaphorical use.

At 15:17, Joey said I would bow out when asked by Chandler. Bow out means 'withdraw  from something.'  The US has bowed out a variety of organizational groups under Trump's administration.  China threatend to bow out of the scheme if the US kept interfering in domestic affairs involved with Taiwan.
