The documentary is about the S.A.PHOEBUS Cartel in 1920s. The goal was to control the production of lightbulbs and to devide the world market between them. They reduce the life of light bulbs from 2500 hours to 1000 hours.
And now, the same things take place too. The printer is not working, all the shop advise to buy a new one, but not to repair it.
I think, the business activity produce many waste and then cause a lot of environment pollution. In the documentary we can see, large of waste have been transfered to Africa. It's unfair, and finally our common homeland is damaged. These are big problems for all of us.
"On the contrary, by saving resourses and not wasting thungsten we will keep our jobs!" the east Germans have expressed. And if manufactures use nutrients, the products can become something new. New Reserch will learn from nature.
It's very meaningful, by reducing production and consumption we get more free time , to develop other forms of wealth that can't be exhausted , for example friedship and leaning.
After watching this documentary , mine suggestions are live a minimalist lifestyle(less possessions , more public transport, and so on.), to learn more, to cantract a friendship, and to protect the environment.
