It takes years of sweats and tears for those athletes to distinguish themselves in their fields, and it will take more for those top sports people to win championships for their countries. Consequently, considering the significant role sports plays in building the cultural image of a country, it is totally sensible and worthwhile to distribute larger protions to them as an appreciation and recognition.
