The three section of Hainan（海南三月三） in March is the largest folk traditional festival of the Li people in Hainan province.  It is also called love festival, love day which held on the 3th day of the third month of the Chinese lunar calendar each year. This is a traditional festival for the people of  Li nationality to mourn the diligent and brave ancestors and express their yearning for love. Now it has become one of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, which plays a vital role in accelerating thedevelopment of tourism of Hainan.

There are some really special food during the festival，such as rice wine(山兰米酒), bamboo tube rice（竹筒香饭）, and three colored glutinous rice（三色饭）. Each dish not only possesses  unique Li ethnic flavor, but also contains strong traditional Li culture, which demonstrates  the sweat and crystallization of the wisdom of the Li ancestors. It has been inherited from thousands of years ago, making the descendants of Li and their culture prosperous and growing as well as creates an unique charm for today's Hainan .

There are also many interesting activities regarding the festival, one of which is the bamboo pole dance(竹竿舞). The pole holders have three kinds of posture, namely sitting, squatting and standing. In the rhythmic and regular bump, the dancers should not only jump and retreat nimbly at the moment of the separation of the bamboo poles, but also do all kinds of graceful and natural actions. Nowaday this dance has been promoting in many high school in Hainan.

When people mention Hainan, the words come up in my mind are sun, sea, and sandbeach. In my part I will introduce some famous and beautiful places in Hainan.

FIRST

Yalong Bay

Yalong Bay

located southeast of Sanya city, is one of the most famous tour spots, the sandbeach stretches for 8 kilometres,three time of Hawaii in length.

It  has a cool and charming climate and weather. With cool clear sea water, soft beach and beautiful scenery , it attracts many tourists every year.

SECOND

Tianya Haijiao

It has a beautiful name, In chinese it means "the edge of the world ".  Tianya Haijiao is located on the west of Sanya city, and it attracts many tourists every year.

The Rocks of Sun and Moon (日月石) are two big rocks, which sit together.    In Chinese they were given special and  beautiful  meaning.  The "Sun" represents "husband" and the "Moon" stands for "wife " the "couple" were sitted in Tianya Haijiao, it means they will be together forever, so it attracts many new couples which hope their love last forever.

Southern Heaven Rock (南天一柱) is another huge rock, which sits near The Rocks of Sun and Noon.

Four famous cuisines in Hainan

As we all know, Hainan is a beautiful island which located in the southern end of China. However, Hainan has not only beautiful scenery but also delicious foods. And in this article, I will introduce four most famous local dishes: Wenchang chicken(文昌鸡), Jiaji duck(加积鸭), Dongshan mutton(东山羊) and Hele crab(和乐蟹) to you.

Wenchang chicken

It is a kind of high-quality fattening chicken, which is named because it is produced in Wenchang, Hainan Province. There is a saying in Hainan that no Wenchang chicken no feast. The traditional way of eating is plain chicken(白切鸡) which add the dainty (讲究的) reasoning–mashed garlic(蒜泥), soy sauce and orange juice.

Jiaji duck

Its recipe is very similar to Wenchang chicken. And  both of them have high nutritional value.

Dongshan mutton

When I searched for information about the Dongshan mutton, I find an interesting thing to me that the colour of mutton is black. Because I think the colour of mutton is white or yellowish all the time. That's interesting to me.

There are various ways of eating Dongshan mutton, including braised, clear soup and dry fried. Every way has its own characteristics.

It's very delicious and nutritious. The best way of eating is steaming, which not only keeps its fresh taste, but also keeps its beautiful original shape.

Two beautiful places in San Ya

San Ya

When the scenery of the south is most beautiful, I meet you again in showers of falling flowers, which is a poem from the ancient China. After reading the poem, I really fall in love with the small towns in the south of Yangtze River. San Ya is not a small town in the south of Yangtze River, but from then on I was attracted by the cities in the southern China. And I am fond of the beautiful scenery of San Ya and dreaming of walking alongside the beach with warm and shining sands. Moreover, with deep blue water around the small islands. You can feel the soft breeze go through your face, which is really comfortable. From now on, I would like to introduce two places which attracted me most.

Rose Valley

The first place is the Rose Valley whose theme is beauty, romance and love. There is aboundant water resources around there and combined with Li nationality culture. Many people have much stress living in the city. Sometimes they just need to take a break and go to the contryside. And the Rose Valley is that kind of place which makes you feel relax and confortable. In my opinion, it is a good place for you going with your sweetheart and taking pictures, maybe for your wedding. If not, just takes your close friends to listen to the nature.

Another one is the Nanshan Buddhist Pagoda, which have morethan 1000 years history. It is about 108 meters height. And is one of the world famous pagoda, which is on the sea level. It touches me because of its apperance and the feelings it gives me. I feel something in my heart tells me that it is like a magic. And standing there makes me feel with much strength than before.
