As many took on the duty of trying to integrate reasoning and scientific philosophies into the world, the Renaissance was over and it was time for a new era-the Age of Reason.
句子结构分析
-当许多人承担着试图将推理和科学哲理融入到世界的责任时，文艺复兴时期结束了，一个理性的新时代该到来了。
在翻译的时候，有几点要注意：
1.as可以翻译为：随着、当……时。
2.介宾短语作后置定语，翻译时放在前面。即 of 后的内容修饰的是前面的 duty。

integrate —— 成为一体；（使）加入，融入
reasoning —— 推理；论证；理性的观点
era —— 时代；年代；纪元
take on the duty —— 承担责任
