Day 1

最近沉迷于看美剧小谢尔顿不能自拔。后来看着看着，我发现很多平时用中文要表达的日常内容，从英文角度来看，都是我们认识的单词，词组。却我们常常不知道，不会用。于是，我希望自己每天选我看的剧集里的一些内容来进行分享。

1.这一集是讲体育馆举办science fair。有了第一句的谢尔顿的独白。在任何一天，学校体育馆发生着各种各样的恐怖事件。发生习惯性反应happen。但是中文中的发生可以在不同场景中代表着不同的意思。这里用的present。 a cocktail of 和 variety of , all kinds of, various 等各种各样想通。但是显然a cocktail of 高级很多。      

 on any given day, our school gymnasium presented a cocktail of horrors, from daily humiliation to school-sanctioned violence, but one day a year, the gymnasium was transformed into a heaven of learning.

2. 谢尔顿没有得到全场最佳科技蒋的时候，愤愤不平，于是大喊 you people are all crazy. 你们在赞扬平庸。mediocrity 平庸 赞扬用的不是praise是celebrating.

3.谢尔顿的爸爸安慰谢尔顿，讲了他一次比赛的精力。在上半场down的情况下，下半场坚持，最后一分钟claw our way back to a tie.。

but somehow, we managed to claw our way back to a tie with a minute left.

4.但是 ref 判错。爸爸忍下来了（suck it up）。

i sucked it up.  

5. i am disillusioned about the school system.
