Yesterday, the presentation went well, not perfectly though. I got to witness and experience the whole process of the cultural exchange online meeting, also practiced my English presentation skills. What I have learned from this experience:
1. always remember to sharpen your English skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Because chance favors the prepared mind.
This reminded me one of Steve Job's speech about connecting the dots, which I strong agree with.
"you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.
So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.
Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well-worn path and that will make all the difference."
Maybe, anything that is meaningful and can make you happy is worth doing, even though it does not bring us seemingly practical value. Because when you do meaningful things brings you happiness, it means you are guided by your own instinct and heart to pursue something that may lead to big achievement in the future.
Do not do things because of their practical application. Knowledge and skills are no burden.
2. prepare several pieces of clothes for formal occasions: shirt, pants, dress, jacket. I spent too much time on casual clothes. In formal occasions, how we dress speaks a lot for itself.
3. be prepared. Plan things ahead so that one do not panic in the last minute.
It is another busy day~ Live today to the fullest~
