Winnie's New Computer

Winnie the Witch had a new computer.
女巫温妮有了一台新电脑。
She was very excited.
她可高兴了。
Her cat, Wilbur, was excited too.
她的小猫威尔伯也乐坏了。
He thought something interesting might happen
他想，马上就要发生什么有趣的事儿了吧，
and he didn't want to miss it.
他可不想错过。
Winnie plugged in the computer,
温妮装好了电脑，
turned it on,
把它打开，
and clicked the mouse.
开始点击鼠标。
"Come on, mouse," she said.
“来吧，鼠标。”温妮说。
Is that a mouse? Thought Wilbur.
真的是老鼠？威尔伯想。
It doesn't look like one.
可是，这个东西看上去一点儿也不像老鼠。

Winnie went on to the internet.
温妮开始上网。
Wilbur wanted a closer look at the mouse.
威尔伯想仔细看看那只老鼠。
He patted it.
他拍了拍鼠标。
"Don't touch the mouse, Wilbur!" said Winnie.
“不要动鼠标，威尔伯！”温妮说。
"I want to order a new wand!"
“我想要买一个新的魔法棒！”
Wilbur patted the mouse again. Pat, Pat.
威尔伯不听，又拍打了一下鼠标。
Winnie was cross.
温妮生气了，
She put Wilbur outside.
她把威尔伯赶到了门外。
She didn't notice that it was raining…
她没有注意到外面正下着雨……

Wilbur noticed it was raining.
威尔伯知道下雨了，
He was getting wet.
他被淋湿了。
He watched Winnie through the window.
他隔着玻璃窗，看着温妮，
She was having a good time.
温妮正在享受一段好时光。
She ordered her new wand,
她订购了新的魔法棒。
and then she visited www.funnywitches.com.
然后，她访问了www.funnywitches.com.
They had some very funny jokes.
这个网站上有好多有趣的笑话。
"Ha, ha, ha," laughed Winnie.
“哈哈哈！”温妮大笑。
Wilbur wasn't laughing.
威尔伯笑不出来。
The rain was dripping off his whiskers.
雨水顺着他的胡须流下来。
"Meeow," he cried. "Meeeoooww!"
“喵！”他叫唤起来，“喵呜！”
But Winnie didn't hear him.
可是，温妮没有听到他的叫声。
That mouse has put a spell on her, thought Wilbur.
威尔伯想，她一定是中了那只老鼠的魔咒。

Plop,plop, plop.
啪啪，啪啪，啪啪。
"What's that noise?" asked Winnie.
“那是什么声音？”温妮问道。
It was the rain.
是雨水，
It was coming though the roof.
从屋顶上淋下来。
"Oh no!"said Winnie.
“噢，不！”温妮喊道，
"The rain will ruin my new computer!
“这场大雨会毁了我的新电脑！
I need the Roof Repair Spell."
我需要修复屋顶的咒语。”
But she couldn't find her book of spells or
可是，她怎么也找不到她的魔法书，
her magic wand anywhere.
也找不到她的魔法棒。
"Oh, where are they?"
“噢，它们在哪儿呢？”
she cried as the rain plopped down.
温妮快要哭出来了，外面还下着大雨呢。

At last she found them.
温妮终于找到它们了。
She waved her wand seven times at the roof,
她把魔法棒指向天花板，挥舞了七次，
and shouted, ABRACADABRA!
然后大叫道，ABRACADABRA!
The roof stopped leaking.
屋顶立刻不漏雨了。
"Thank goodness," Winnie said.
“感谢上帝！”温妮说。
Then she had a wonderful idea.
这时，温妮想到一个好主意。
"If I scan all my spells into the computer," she said,
“如果我把魔法书扫描进电脑，”她说，
"I won't need my book of spells any more.
“那我就再也不需要魔法书了。
I won't need to wave my magic wand.
我也不需要再挥舞魔法棒了。
I'll just use the computer.
我只要使用电脑。
One click will do the trick."
点击一下，就能变出魔法。”
So Winnie loaded all her spells into the new computer.
于是，温妮把她的魔法书全都扫描进了电脑。
"I'd better try it out," she said.
“我最好还是先试试看。”她说。
"What shall I do ?"
“我该怎么做呢？”

"I know, I'll turn Wilbur into a blue cat."
“对了，我先把威尔伯变成一只蓝色的猫。”
She let Wilbur inside.
她把威尔伯抱进屋来。
She went to the computer, clicked the mouse,
然后打开电脑，点击鼠标，
and Wilber was bright blue.
威尔伯变成一只鲜艳的蓝猫。
"Good!" said Winnie.
“好极了！”温妮说道，
"It works!"
“成功了！”
She clicked the mouse, and Wilbur was a black cat again.
温妮再点鼠标，威尔伯又变回了一只黑猫。
An angry, wet, black cat.
一只气冲冲、湿漉漉的黑猫。
"Well, Wilbur," said Winnie,
“行了，威尔伯，”温妮说道，
"I won't need my book of spells
“我再也不需要魔法书，
or my magic wand any more."
也不需要我的魔法棒了。”
And she put them out for the dustman to take away.
她把它们扔进了垃圾桶，让清洁工来处理。

That night, Wilbur waited
这一夜，威尔伯没有睡觉，
until he could hear Winnie snoring.
一直等到温妮打起呼噜。
Then he crept downstairs.
然后，威尔伯悄悄地爬下楼。
He was going to see about that mouse.
他想看看那只“老鼠”。
He patted it. Nothing happened.
他拍拍它。什么也没有发生。
"Meeow, grrrrssss!" he snarled.
“喵呜，吱吱吱！”他吼道。
He grabbed the mouse,
他抓起鼠标，
tossed it into the air,
抛到半空，
and rolled onto his back.
把鼠标缠在自己身上。
ZAP! The computer came on.
咝！电脑启动了。
ZAP! Wilbur turned bright blue.
咝！威尔伯变成了蓝色的猫。
ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!
咝！咝！咝！

Winnie had a lovely sleep.
温妮睡了一个好觉。
In the morning she came downstairs for her breakfast.
清晨，她下楼准备早餐。
"Breakfast, Wilbur," she called.
“吃早饭了，威尔伯，”她喊道，
"Where are you, Wilbur!"
“你在哪儿？威尔伯！”
She looked in the garden,
温妮去花园找了个遍，
in the bathroom,
去浴室找了个遍，
in all the cupboards.
去碗橱全找了个遍，
No Wilber.
都没有看到威尔伯。
Then she looked in the computer room…
然后温妮就到电脑房里去找……

"OH NO!!!" cried Winnie.
“噢！不！！！”温妮惊叫，
"Wilbur, where are you? And where's the computer?"
“威尔伯，你在哪儿？还有，我的电脑呢？”
She reached into the cupboard for her book of spells.
她打开碗橱，想找出魔法书，
She put her hand in her pocket for her magic wand.
她翻开口袋，想找出魔法棒。
Then she remembered.
温妮忽然想起来了。
She ran to the window.
她冲到窗前。
The dustman was tipping her rubbish into his truck.
清洁工正把她的垃圾往卡车上倒。
"Stop!" shouted Winnie."STOP!"
“住手！”温妮大喊，“请住手！”
But it was too late.
可是，来不及了，
The dustman couldn't hear her.
清洁工没有听到温妮的喊叫，
He jumped into his truck and drove away.
他跳上卡车，开车走了。
"What shall I do?" cried Winnie.
“我该怎么做？”温妮哭喊道。

Then another truck came through the gate.
大门外又开来一辆卡车。
"My new wand!" said Winnie.
“我的新魔法棒！”温妮破涕为笑。
"It's arrived! Thank goodness!"
“它终于到了！感谢上帝！”
She grabbed the new wand, waved it one,
她抓起新魔法棒，把它挥了一下，
and shouted, ABRACADABRA!
然后喊道，ABRACADABRA!
The book of spells flew out of the rubbish truck,
魔法书从垃圾车里“嗖”地飞了出来，
up into the air…
冲到半空中……

…and dropped into her arms.
......落到温妮的手臂上。
Winnie rushed inside,
温妮冲进房间，
and looked up the spell to make things come back.
查找能把东西变回来的魔法。
Then she shut her eyes,
接着，她闭上眼睛，
waved her wand four times,
把魔法棒挥了四下，
and shouted, ABRACADABRA!
大喊道，ABRACADABRA!
The computer and Wilbur came back.
电脑和威尔伯都变回来了。
"Oh, Wilbur!" said Winnie.
“噢，威尔伯！”温妮惊讶地叫起来，
"You're bright blue! Whatever happened?
“你成了一只蓝猫了！到底发生了什么？
Never mind, I'll change you back to black again."
没关系，我会把你变回来的。”

She went to the computer and clicked the mouse.
温妮打开电脑，点击鼠标。
Wilbur was a black cat again.
威尔伯又变回了一只黑猫。
"Good," said Winnie.
“好极了。”温妮说，
"It still works.
“电脑还能用。
But I think I'll keep my book of spells and my magic wand.
不过，我还是留着我的魔法书和魔法棒吧，
I might need them one day."
说不定哪天会用到它们。”
