国庆节上课的时候，八年级的试卷上，有一个any other的试题，我第一眼看到，竟然被难住了，有点拿不准。
The Changjiang River is longer than any other ___ (river / rivers) in China.
你觉着应该填哪个呢？
不会没关系，拿不准也没关系，咱们可以学，对不对？
网上的资料，也是鱼龙混杂，很多都是一些半吊子写的；还有一些，就是拿着半吊子写的来回复制，导致很难找到准确的有效信息。
好在呢，你们有厉害的赵校长，帮助你们做了搜索、甄选，还有归纳总结的工作。
今天呢，我就把我查资料学到的，总结后，再传授给你们：
（1）同一范围之内的人或物之间的比较：
than+any other+单数，用other将自己排除在外，避免自己和自己比较。
例句：Tom is taller than any other boy in his class.
汤姆比他们班的男孩子都高。
注：any other+单数=any of the other+复数
Tom is taller than any of the other boys in his class.
汤姆比他们班的男孩子都高。
（2）不是同一范围内的人或物比较：
要去掉other，than+any+单数，因为不是同一范围，无需进行排除。
例句：Tom is taller than any girl in his class.
汤姆比他们班的女孩子都高。
（3）注意：any other和any后面一般跟单数，极少数特殊情况，也可用复数。
比如：The players of Inter Milian are stronger than any other players of South Korea.
国际米兰的球员普遍比韩国的球员更加强壮。
回到开头，来看这道题：
The Changjiang River is longer than any other ___ (river / rivers) in China.
应该是填：river。
