Hi everyone, today I am going to talk about a national festival-------Easter.
In “Bible-New Testament”Jesus was crucified on the cross and the body was resurrected on the third day. That is where it starts and the name comes from.
Easter’s date is at the first Sunday after the full moon.It is not a regular day each year because the day of Easter was merged through three calendars. They are the Western calendar, the Chinese lunar calendar, and the week calendars.that’s why the dates of Easter are so different。
In Easter,people do lots of things.The most popular thing is the Easter egg. In the early time,people thinks that eggs have two lives, the first being “freshmen” and the second being “rebirths”.They also paint the colour to red for commemorate the blood that Jesus Christ was flowing through but now,most people eat chocolate eggs and they become children’s favorite. there are two different kind of Easter egg,one of them is like the eggshell and one of them that has marshmallow in it.
There is also a game happened during the Easter, it is called ”The Egg Rolling.”People roll the egg on the grass and the last people who broke the egg will be the winner. The winner can have all the Easter Eggs. I think Easter is a very fun celebration.Everyone can join it and no matter you are Christian or Atheist,everyone can join it as a game. Therefore, the Easter has already become a festival which qualified for all people.
