An unstoppable relationship

In that day, you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. ---John16:27-28

“In that day, you will pray in my name.”, which is to pray according to God’s nature, not “with my name as a charm.” but “being so intimate with me, shall be one with me.” “That day” is not a day in the future, but the here and now. The Father himself loves you”—the unity is so complete and absolute. The Lord is not saying that life is free from the adversity, but knowing the God’s mind that he raises us to the heaven by the baptism of the holy spirit, where he reveals to us the will of God.

“If you ask the Father for anything…” “That day” is the day when God’s relationship with the saints will not be hindered. In the same way, Jesus stood before God the Father with spotless and pure, we are also elevated into the relationship through the power of the baptism of the holy spirit— “Make them one as we are.”

“… And he will give it to you in my name.” Jesus said, “The Father knows our prayers.” What a challenge! By the power of Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into heaven and by the holy spirit that God has sent, we can enter a relationship of unity with God the Father, as the Lord did that the free will has a union with God’s most good and high will. In this high place, which Jesus Christ has placed us, we can pray in his name and in his character; and this is also the nature which the holy spirit has given us. Jesus replied, “The Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” The supreme virtue of Jesus Christ can stand the test of his own words.

Dear God, today is a day of great favor. I thank you for your great plan. Lord, carry out your plan with your power and grace.
