As I moved along with the daily article updates, I found more features in this App that's fun for people to play with. One of them was to "publish" your articles in certain interest columns that usually would have to be reviewed and accepted by the editors of those columns. Well, I did just that. I sent a few of mine for publications and some of them got accepted. I have also received rejections because I didn't follow the certain rules of those columns. But the editors were pretty nice. They would give reasons and suggestions for how to improve my chances of getting accepted by them.
At the same time, I also got to know some more people that are having similar interests with myself. I was invited to a few WeChat groups. I tried one, “海外党”. While the "P" (party) word was intimidating because of where we are right now, it's interesting for me to see so many young and bright people in this group. There is nothing like this comparing to those WeChat groups that I belonged to. The conversations were sometimes "Fast and Furious" (I can't help but thinking about the name of a movie series). And a lot of them involved writing. I totally loved it!
While just being an observer in the group so far, I was shocked today when I saw one entry among the conversations in the WeChat group. It was a screen shot of my daily update from yesterday. Now I have done it! That was just one of my casual write ups to continue my daily updates when I didn't have much to write. I never thought it's going to attract any attention. It was posted up there by a person whose writing has won my admiration with her articles. There are also many guys (or gals) in the group who's sharp and well experienced in writing. I'm glad that I have found this group. As an engineering background person, there are a lot for me to learn from them.
Enjoy your weekend guys!
