    Hey!

A few days ago I was travelling from Tamil Nadu back to Pune.

One major Problem I had faced during my stay at Tamil Nadu was that I did not know Tamil, and hence I found it really tedious to talk to people there.

As I was resting on my berth in the train, Something happened.

That something was not substantial. It was just a message from someone close to me.

I don’t know why, But I really felt bad after reading it. It was not a bad news as such, But it was something that somehow rued my mood.

I felt really agitated and sad. I wanted to talk to someone, and share it, But couldn’t really find someone who would connect or understand.

This aggravated my agony, and I became more sad.

To help myself out, I continued reading my favourite author on my phone.

Call it a coincidence, that I read this quote.

    | So is cheerfulness, or a good temper, the more it is spent, the more remains.

    ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Out of all my agitation , I thought of a good idea. The pace of the train was slowing down, And We were approaching a local railway station somewhere in Tamil Nadu.

I went to the door of the train bogie. stood there with my hands on the railing.

    Somewhat like this fellow.

As the train slowed down near the station, I started waving at all the people I could wave at.

They did not know my language, I did not know theirs. They did not know me, I did not know them.

    I smiled at them.

Most of them took some time. But then, Smiled back genuinely, Waved back at me.

I don’t know what was up with their life. Some of them might be sad. Some might be happy. Business, school, relationships: We all have them in our lives.

Irrespective of all their happiness or sorrows, they took some time out to help an unknown, sad traveller.

All of them smiled back. Waved in happiness!

Now the more they waved at me, and as I saw them pass by, With a smile on their face, Knowing that I would never see them again, The happier I became.

It took me mere 10 minutes of this exercise, and trust me, I was happier like never before.

We limit our lives to expectations. We forget to share simple happiness.

The world is an amazing place. Despite of all the crime and hatred, Everyone smiles back when you smile at them!

    Now something Simple and wise?

When the world is your family, and smile is your attire, You’ll realize that All we have is happiness, and that All our worries are a product of our solitary act.

The simplest and wisest measure, though it may sound trivial, But of utmost importance, is to smile, and spread it, for no reason.

“The secret to happiness is to pretend that you’re happy, and eventually you forget that you’re pretending”

    Have a happy day!

    ~Ralph Waldo Emerson |
