Do you prefer to study in the morning or in the evening?
I prefer to study in the morning when most people at my age are still in their sweet dreams, right? I get to breathe in fresh and brisk air and enjoy mild temperature. besides, there are not so many distractions in the morning so that I can concentrate harder and be more productive.
Why do some people find it difficult to focus in the morning?
Modern people are so used to burning the midnight oil, working on their emails or assignments. I mean, young people hardly hit the sack before midnight, right? studying in the morning means less sleep, and trust me, that doesn’t feel good.
What do you do to improve your learning efficiency?
I mean, I could really use a cup of coffee sometimes, knowing that it isn’t the healthiest choice. But it works. A cup of latte keeps my torpor away.
Describe a visitor in your home (a time when someone visited your home)
Who this visitor was
When he/she visited your home
What you did
Why he/she came to visit
And explain whether you like him/her or not提示:
本题的A是a visitor,描述人;B是in your home,限制地点。
You know how hard it is to deal with a bragger right? I’m gonna describe an unexpected visitor to my home last February who turned out an annoying one. It was Mrs. Huang, a family friend. She is a tall and gaunt woman in her fifties now and she always wears this tacky yellowish gem in front of her chest.
So, the awful story began on the last day of spring festival, or the Lantern’s Day, when traditionally customary visits are supposed to end. Our heroine dropped by out of the bluewhen my whole family were cleaning the living room. She barged through the door the second it was opened, rushed in and began bragging about her new property insurance. She tried to talk my mom into buying one. I was like, come on, are you a newly employed insurance saleswoman or what. Not a professional one, apparently. I couldn’t help grinning about this idea which she noticed and then turned to me. Uh-oh, here we go. It was no surprise that she began boasting about how brilliant her son was. So her son was going to get his green card and get married both in the summer, blah blah blah. What did all that have anything to do with me? I thought, I had actually been very close to Jimmy, her son, and I knew that there’s another side of the story. Anyhow, I kept smiling with curt nods, thinking, what I was gonna eat for my lunch.
You see, braggers are a lot to handle, esp. an overproud mom who goes around crowing about her life. But when it comes to visiting other people, manners really matter.
Skills
My hometown has a population of 3 million people, give or take a few thousand.Ning Zetao has been followed by 20 million fans on Weibo, give or take.
to add insult to injury
to add fuel to the fire/flames
to ice the cake
icing on the cake The meal was perfect, the wonderful view from the restaurant the icing on the cake. The meal was perfect. To ice the cake, we got to enjoy the wonderful view from the restaurant.I can’t live with unpunctual people. Like my friend Mike. So last Sunday we had a date. First of all he arrived an hour late and then, to add insult to injury, he proceeded to complain about my choice of restaurant. The traffic in Beijing is already miserable. To add fuel to the fire, it rains particularly heavily lately.

Do you like to send expensive gifts?Certainly not. I mean, sending expensive gifts means the recipient would better send back something even more expensive. And that would definitely add up. By the way, in China, receiving costly gifts without returning one is considered a major social faux pas. I don’t like to send expensive gifts. I’m a student now. I don’t have enough money. Someone sends me an expensive gift. More expensive than I can take. I feel terrified. I don’t know how to think of a way to respond. I don’t like to send expensive gifts because I’m a student now and I don’t have enough money. So if someone sent me an expensive gift which is more expensive than I can take, I would feel so terrified that I wouldn’tknow how to think of a way to respond.
