Today let me read you the second part of this story about Pickles.

Joe the fireman took Pickles to the Chief of the fire house.

Mrs Goodkind called the Chief.

The Chief: Hello. Oh hello, Mrs Goodkind. Yes, Pickles is here. He came with Joe. What did you say? You think Pickles would like to live in our firehouse?Well, we shall see. Thank you, Mrs. Goodkind. Goodbye.

Pickles started to live in the firehouse, and learn to be a good firehouse cat.

Pickles walked quietly up the stairs after Joe.

Joe and Pickles went into a room where the firemen lived.

The men were pleased to have a cat.

Suddenly the fire bell rang. They ran to a big pole and down they went.(好喜欢这种原汁原味的表达啊）The pole was fast way to get to their trucks.

Pickles wanted to slide down the pole.But it is difficult to him.

He jumped and put his paws around the pole. Down he fell with a BUMP.

Pickles: Bumps or no bumps, I must try again.

Up the stairs he ran. Down the pole he came and bumped.

He tried again and bumped. By the time the firemen came back from the fire, Pickles could slide down the pole.

Firemen: what a wonderful cat you are!

Pickles learned how to jump up on one of the big trucks, to sit up straight on the seat while the truck raced to a fire.

Firemen: what a wonderful cat you are!

这个小故事是儿子看到monster那本书想起来的。今天跟他讲的时候基本没有让我翻译呢。我就差不多用简化一点的英语跟他讲的。

已经坚持了12天，其实会有点不一样的感觉。有时候其实只是自己读了，没有给孩子读。但是好像也有进步。
