 people shouldn't fear artificial intelligence

AI has been a hot topic in recent years. The main focus is on whether it can replace human beings in the near future. Actually, some people who fear that don't have to worry a lot for the following reasons.

First of all, Artificial Intelligence and its statistical analysis methods do not have purposes let alone free will. Artificial Intelligence is not intelligent. It is incapable of having ambitions or self-interest or deceiving or lying. In other words, artificial intelligence should not scare us any more than statistics. This does not mean it is harmless. Artificial intelligence and its algorithms are not neutral, but they reflect the intentions and involuntary biases of the teams of programmers and data scientists and the bodies involved in the implementation of this technology.  

Second of all, scientists are not stupid to make it happen. When scientists start to design all AI programs and products, they set specific procedures and functions. Moreover, they have to consider all those ethical and moral issues. What kind of bad consequences it might cause? What is the side effect of this product? As common people, we must believe those professional scientists. They know what they are doing and what they should do.

Third of all, Feelings and emotions make human beings different. AI, considered a machine, they don't have all those human-like qualities. They might provide all kinds of services based on people's needs, but it won't cover all as a human being facing complex surroundings. Jobs like teachers and artists couldn't be replaced by AI totally. All machines are called objects while human beings are called subjects. 

We shouldn’t automatically assume we’re done for when AI comes along. In all probability, we’ll think (and already do think) AI is really useful. They are just products designed by human beings. That's all.
