你想想，都让你失去胳膊和腿了，那代价也太大了吧。因此这个成语指“价格昂贵”也不难理解。
- spend money like water这个成语想必很多人都知道，它和中文完全对应，意思就是“花钱如流水”。比如：
Jenny buys luxury goods every month. She is really spending money like water.
珍妮每月都要买奢侈品，她简直花钱如流水！
