We are not born with innate negative emotions such as hatred, because it is in the true nature of humans to love and care for others. Negative emotions are like the flu, which we tend to pick up when our immune system is weak. The difference between love and hatred is that one is in our nature and the other is a passing stain, like the tarnish on silver which can arise under certain circumstances and then be cleaned away.
