Do you agree or disagree with the statement : Compared with people
who live in cities, people who live in rural areas can take better care
of families.
while it may be true that living in rural areas have a
lot of advantages, especially considering the harshal and barshal of
modern matropolis, I still hold that people who live in cities take
advantage in terms of better taking care of families.
When we
refer to the phrase "take care of", there may be multiple meaning for
it. However, it might be beyond all doubt that the majority of people
are considering the following aspects, when they consider it.
The
first aspect lies in the medical condition. As we are suffering more and
more epidemic diseases than any previoius ages, people are more and
more be accessible to the following risk. Compared with rural areas,
cities provide more hospitals and clincs which are of better quality.
You may argue that people live in cities need to face more potential
disease risks due to the higher population density, but a reality is
diseases are more related to the sanitary condition, which cities takes
priority compared with its rural counterpart.
The second aspect
coming into mind is the education condition. Living in cities enables
one's child to get more chances to be enrolled in better shools. A
non-ignorable fact is that education level rely on the quality of
faculties, especially the quality of teachers. While teachers,
especially the younger ones, due to numerous reasons, are more likely to
be settled in prosperous cities.
The last reason why I believe
living in cities can enable one to take good care of the family lies in
personal development. One needs abundant and sufficient material
condition to support his or her own life, not to mention how much else
they need to take care of the family. While we can not deny rich people
living in rural areas can also lead their family to a happy life, more
people, especially the middle class, still need to devote a large
portion of their energy to the commercial battlefield to support the
family. The two classical movies "the pursuit of happiness" and "Slumdog
Millionaire" explain this well.
To put them all in a capsule, I
hold the view that people living in cities are more likely to take care
of their family well compared with those live in rural areas. Actually,
the long lasting trend of urbanization and modernization, have been
suppressedly reflected the inner desire of people's pursuit of
happiness, as well as the aim of taking care of the family better.
